The central living space of Cranshaws Castle is its spectacular second floor drawing room, complete with deep sofas, roaring fire and hidden cupboard bar. A small, secondary study area is located adjacent to the drawing room. Here, a writing desk and log burner provide guests with the perfect ‘working’ spot. A wide selection of board games can also be found in the study.
Dining Room and Kitchen
The Castle dining room and kitchen is a large, bright, open-plan room. The central feature is an impressive oak dining table which can accommodate 14 guests. A large wood burning stove sits adjacent to the dining table.
The modern kitchen boasts a state-of-the-art electric cooker with double fan oven and 5 burner gas hob, integrated dishwasher, toaster, espresso maker and large, double fronted, fridge freezer with ice machine. A washing machine and dryer is also available for guests’ use in an external outbuilding adjoining the property.
Adjacent to the kitchen and dining room is a downstairs WC for guests.
The Pink Bedroom
Located on the first floor is the aptly named Pink Bedroom. The bedroom suite is accessed through its own small sitting room, and boasts a super-king bed, as well as storage, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The adjoining en-suite bathroom features a large, period bath with hand-held shower, basin and WC.
The Brown Room
The Brown Room is one of the two annex rooms located on the fourth floor, at the very top of the Castle. Cosy and characterful, it is best suited to guests who prefer to travel light! The Brown Room shares an adjacent bathroom with the neighbouring Blue Room, also on the fourth floor.
